Built at the request of Napoleon III and inaugurated in January 1875 at the request of Napoleon III, the Opera Garnier is an exceptional building in the ninth arrondissement of Paris, classified as a historic monument since 1923. Since then, more than a symbol for the capital, the building has become a source of pride for the whole country and one of the most prestigious operas in the world, alongside those in Milan, Vienna, New York and St Petersburg. It gave its name to the place it occupies: the mythical and impressive Place de l'Opera north of Avenue de l'Opéra. In addition to being located in a magnificent setting, Opera Garnier is located in the immediate vicinity of many bus stops, Auber station on line A of the RER and Opera metro station. This witness to the history of the French capital, known as the Opera de Paris until the opening of the Opera Bastille at the end of the 1980s, delighted everyone for its shape which gave it the appearance of a palace. Staying near this unique building offers an unforgettable experience.
Dream Hotel Opera promises to offer you an exceptional stay near the Garnier Opera House. Take the opportunity to attend a concert, lyrical recital or ballet and discover the splendour of French culture.
